Well, lets see...I met Amanda through GENESIS, Columbus State University's gospel choir. I actually heard her sing before I ever heard her actual speaking voice. All I could think was, "Who is this girl? Where did she come from? And can she give me some vocal lessons?!?!" Lol Anyway, it was awhile before her and I actually became friends. We ran in the same crowd for the longest, but had never really had an extensive 1on 1 conversations. All of a sudden I had this weird feeling that we were "suppose to be friends." Yep, the thought was as strange as it sounds. Lol I won't go into details about how this unconventional friendship kicked off, but let's just say that it was obvious to us that I wasn't wrong about that feeling. From the moment we decided to be friends, it has been an AMAZING journey full of laughs, tears, transparency, rebukes, encouragement, accountability, kindredness, loyalty, and relentless understanding. We can literally not communicate for years, but the moment we pick up the phone to talk, we don't skip a beat, and it's as if we just spoke the day before. I truly believe that that "weird feeling" was God supplying an essential need for accountability and friendship during that time of my life, and I'm honored that it came in the form of Ms. Whipple, soon to be Mrs. Alexander. I love you chica and I am forever be grateful that I not only get to call you my friend, but my sister! :-) Congratulations love!
P.S. Seriously tho, I still want those vocal lessons!
